On March 6, 2026, the Washington Post reported that Russia is providing Iran with targeting intelligence on the locations of American warships and aircraft in the Middle East. Three U.S. officials described it as a "pretty comprehensive effort." Six American service members are dead. Eighteen are wounded. Moscow is helping Tehran aim.

On the same day, Tucker Carlson is running the most effective information operation in support of America's adversaries that conservative media has ever produced. And he is doing it through lies, not opinions. Documented, exposed, debunked lies.

Let that distinction sink in. This is not about a man who disagrees with a war. This is about a man who fabricates stories, parrots the geopolitical framework of a Russian fascist he sat with in Moscow, bought property in a Gulf state that paid $180,000 a month to a firm that facilitated his interview with its prime minister, and uses a former employee at the Daily Mail to plant propaganda that covers for his sabotage of American foreign policy.

Laura Loomer spoke with President Trump for 20 minutes after the Iran strikes. She told him exactly what Carlson was saying. Trump was, by her account, completely unaware. Then he acted. "Tucker has lost his way," Trump told ABC's Jonathan Karl on March 5. "He's not MAGA. And Tucker is really not smart enough to understand that."

Trump is half right. Carlson hasn't lost his way. He found a new one. It runs through Moscow and Doha, and it is paved with lies.

The Lies Are Documented

Start with the Israel "detention" fabrication. In February 2026, Carlson traveled to Israel to interview U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee. Afterward, he gave an "exclusive" to Phillip Nieto at the Daily Mail claiming he and his staff were "detained," his passport "confiscated," and his producer "dragged into an interrogation room" by Israeli security.

Every word of it was a lie. The U.S. Embassy said Carlson received standard passport control questions. Israel's Airport Authority denied the detention. Security footage confirmed nothing happened. Ambassador Huckabee himself said the claim was fabricated. Joel Mowbray, Meghan McCain, and multiple journalists called it what it was: a hoax designed to feed Carlson's narrative that Israel is a hostile, persecuting state.

And Nieto? He's not some independent reporter who stumbled onto the story. He is a former Tucker Carlson employee from the Daily Caller, the outlet Carlson co-founded in 2010. He gave the "exclusive" to his old boss's former staffer because no credible journalist would run it without verification. The Washington Examiner called it what it was: Carlson "planted this story" through a "former employee of the outlet he founded."

That is not journalism. That is a media laundering operation. And it is running in parallel with a much larger one.

The Dugin Pipeline

In April 2024, Carlson traveled to Moscow and sat with Alexander Dugin, the Russian fascist ideologue known as "Putin's Brain." Dugin has called for the genocide of Ukrainians. He views the destruction of the U.S.-Israel alliance as a core strategic objective. Carlson nodded along for 20 minutes and told Dugin: "What you're describing is clearly happening, and it's horrifying."

Dugin celebrated on Russian state media. He called Carlson "Journalist No. 1 in the world." He boasted about 6 million views and described the interview as a successful "penetration of the Western mind." CEPA and the Wilson Center documented how Russian propagandists took a victory lap.

Now look at Carlson's Iran narrative and compare it to Dugin's strategic framework:

Carlson says: "This is Israel's war. This is not the United States' war." Trump contradicted this in the Oval Office on March 3, saying he may have "forced" Israel's hand, not the other way around.

Carlson says Iran never plotted to kill Trump because the intelligence "came from Israel." In both documented cases, the defendants told U.S. authorities that Iran directed the operations. DOJ indictments are on file. Ted Cruz publicly cited the federal indictment and called Carlson "utterly fact-free."

Carlson says Saudi Arabia and Qatar arrested "Mossad agents planning bombings." He cited no sources. Middle East Eye could not independently verify the claim. This is textbook wedge-driving between the U.S. and its Gulf allies, exactly the outcome Moscow and Tehran need.

Carlson says the Chabad Lubavitch movement is trying to start a "religious war" to rebuild the Third Temple. Jewish leaders called it antisemitic conspiracy theory rooted in centuries-old tropes. It is also precisely the kind of narrative Dugin has built his career on: shadowy globalist/Jewish cabals manipulating Western governments into wars.

Every single one of these claims serves Russian strategic interests. Every single one. And the man making them sat with Russia's chief ideologue in Moscow and came home praised as a Kremlin asset by Russian state television.

The Qatar Money Question

Then there is Qatar. In December 2025, Carlson appeared at the Doha Forum, interviewed Qatar's prime minister, and announced he was buying property in the country. He said he had "never taken anything" from Qatar.

But FARA records show that consulting firm Lumen8 Advisors helped facilitate Carlson's Qatar PM interview while being paid $180,000 per month by the Qatari government for "media and communication coaching and consulting services." The Washington Examiner reported this as Qatar's "biggest victory in its post-election right-wing media campaign."

Carlson's business partner Neil Patel denied any payment. Loomer called it a lie. Ted Cruz posted "#QatarFirst." Mark Levin called Carlson "Chatsworth Qatarlson" and accused him of "leaking to and planting stories with his media pals."

This is the same Qatar that hosted Hamas leadership, that funds Al Jazeera, that Iran struck with retaliatory missiles this week. Carlson's Iran narrative, that the real threat is Israel, not Iran, is the exact narrative Qatar's government promotes through its state-funded media ecosystem. And Carlson is delivering it for free to millions of American conservatives.

Or maybe not for free. That is the question FARA was designed to answer.

Finish the Job

Trump did the right thing by cutting Carlson loose. But saying he "lost his way" is not enough. Carlson did not lose his way. He is running a foreign influence operation in plain sight, and the evidence is documented:

He interviewed a Russian fascist in Moscow and came home echoing that fascist's framework. He bought property in a Gulf state linked to Iran and Hamas. He fabricated a story about Israeli detention and planted it through a former employee. He is pushing lies about Iran assassination plots that are contradicted by DOJ indictments. He is making unverified claims about Mossad operations designed to fracture the U.S.-Gulf alliance. And he is doing all of this while Russia provides Iran with targeting intelligence to kill American troops.

As Loomer said: "Tucker is actively running interference for the Iranian regime and he's deliberately trying to fracture the America First MAGA base from within."

She's right. And six American families can't argue the point because they're planning funerals.

Investigate the financial connections. Subpoena the communications. Enforce FARA. And stop calling this man a journalist. He is a liability to every American in uniform and every American who believed "America First" meant something.
